The Procurement team is responsible for the end to end management of suppliers, from sourcing of suppliers through to the day to day management of supplier relationships.


As Buyer, you will purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery to ensure a best in class procurement service.

Responsibilities (Responsabilidades)


  • Purchase goods, materials, and services in line with specified cost, quality and service level requirements
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of business with day to day suppliers
  • Provide support to Procurement Manager to generate collateral and produce analysis for more complex sourcing projects
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to provide procurement advice and support for new projects and initiatives
  • Review quotations/pricing agreements against invoices and highlighting any discrepancies to Purchasing Specialists 

Supplier Management

  • Monitor and manage adherence of suppliers to agreed contractual terms and service levels
  • Maintain and manage data quality of internal supplier database, PO system and buying catalogues and other procurement systems
  • Assess and evaluate suppliers against agreed SLA’s, and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance
  • Undertake sourcing of internal goods and services
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements in line with organisational policy

Customer Support

  • Deliver an efficient and value add procurement service and system, which can be used as a model of excellence for Achilles customers
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert, providing first-line advice and support to internal project teams and external customers’ procurement functions
  • Deliver face to face or virtual training events for third party organisations, demonstrating expertise in the subject matter

Qualifications (Cualificaciones)

  • Proven purchasing experience, preferably within and international environment
  • Experience in a business partner role; building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Demonstrable track record of reducing costs, and adding value through purchasing decisions 
  • CIPS qualified (or working towards) desirable

  • Commercially and financially aware
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • IT literacy - Strong in use of Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Ability to build relationships with - suppliers, customers, and colleagues
  • Highly numerate, with good attention to detail
