As a Technical and Pre-sales Consultant you will be responsible to provide technical input and consultancy to the sale process, specifically: technical, commercial, product, roadmap, strategy and delivery knowledge to support qualified sales opportunities to secure profitable revenue.

Responsibilities (Responsabilidades)

Technical Sales

  • Provide support to local and regional sales teams on Achilles offerings and solutions
  • Support Sales/customer facing teams with customer meetings to aid with understanding customer need, mapping to supported products and services, and setting appropriate customisation and delivery expectations
  • Provide solution and product demo’s, demonstrating technical, commercial and sector/domain knowledge 
  • Provide insight, logic and structure to support qualified sales bids

Knowledge Management & Curation

  • Produce and maintain a library of pre-sale and sales support assets to aid customer meetings
  • Produce and maintain a library of boiler plate copy and schematics for use and/or adaption with new opportunities
  • Maintain a library of bid responses and presentations to provide a record of offers, expectations and commitments


Communication and Training

  • Ensure Sales and other customer facing teams are aware of, understand and communicate the approved products and services portfolio, including features, benefits, differentiators and limitations
  • Work seamlessly and be aligned with the IT/Product group on all projects and pre-deliveries


Qualifications (Cualificaciones)


  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills; actively listens to ensure proposed solutions will meet client needs

  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including Software as a Service/web delivered products & services

  • Knowledge of the sales cycle for complex products & services, and supporting techniques


  • Previous experience in a technical sales role

  • A successful track record of successfully selling IT products and services

  • Proven experience of effectively managing large global customers and their business requirements

  • Previous experience in similar roles in pre-sales, pre-delivery, technical/pre-sales skills in supporting sales teams, competitive bids and tendering

  • Experience working in global, business to business markets

  • Experience of working remotely whilst achieving success

  • Track record of on-time, quality, and multiple customer facing project delivery within a global commercial environment

  • Experience of procurement and supply-chain management would be preferable but not essential



  • Degree level education or equivalent
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
